知识与大学的教育功能:高等教育课程设计

埃德蒙.C.肖特(Edmund Coen Short), 1931年生。现任宾夕法尼亚州立大学教育学教授, 博士生导师。曾分别在中学、大学中任教。1965年获哥伦比亚大学师范学院课程与教学专业博士学位。曾任《课程与督导杂志》主编、“课程知识特别兴趣小组”主任、美国教育研究协会(AERA)课程研究组副主任、《课程探究》杂志特邀主编等职务。此外, 肖特博士还曾是课程史研究协会的发起人。|肖特博士的主要研究兴趣集中在提高学校里的课程与教学质量。为改进课程以及为教学管理人员计划课程过程, 一直是其研究和写作的主要目标。并致力于开发课程探究的模式,这些模式不仅有经验的和参与的方法, 还有历史的、哲学的、人种学的、艺术的、解释学的、批判的方法等等。|肖特教授曾发表过40余篇论文, 参与编写近20本书。最近出版的主要著作有:《课程探究的形式(Formg of Curriculum Inquiry)》.《教育背最中的能力之意义与习得探究(Competence: Inquiries Into Its Meaning and Aoquisition in Educational Setings)》等
