3个月左右婴儿只具有知觉性分类能力, 仍然是非概念有机体; 7个月左右婴儿能够进行意义性分类, 这时婴儿已经成为概念有机体。生命最初的3个月到7个月是概念发生发展的关健时期, 对知觉信息的重新描述是概念产生的机制。
