Research on the Institutional Evaluation Criteria System in China: Perspective of Factors influencing the Undergraduate Teaching Quality

Abstract: Institutional evaluation in China has been carried out for nearly 20 years. The development of the evaluation criteria system has undergone three stages. Based on the analysis of institutional evaluation criteria system in the past 20 years, this article examines the factors influencing the undergraduate teaching quality through designed questionnaire, and offers a statistical analysis of the data. It then identifies some general rules through factor analysis, and finally put forwards some general principles on which Chinese institutional evaluation criteria system could be built in the new era.
