英国大学通识教育的理念及路径

摘要: 通识教育作为一种大学教育理念备受人们重视,但对通识教育的理解仍有争议。英国被称为自由主义的故乡,曾涌现出众多自由主义思想家,他们关于自由教育的阐述为英国大学通识教育奠定了理论基础。英国大学虽然没有设立专门的通识教育课程,但坚持通识教育与专业教育相融合的原则,在整个教学过程中贯穿着通识教育的精神。英国大学的通识教育理念及实施路径,无疑为反思我国大学通识教育提供了全新的视角。

Abstract: General education as a kind of education idea of university has attracted much attention, but people have different understanding about it. As the hometown of liberalism, British has emerged in many liberal thinkers, their elaborations on liberal education have laid a theoretical foundation for general education in British universities. Although there are no specialized curriculums offering general education, those universities adhere to the principle of integration between general education and professional education, and penetrate this spirit in all the teaching process. The ideas and practical routes of general education in British universities will provide new perspectives for reflecting China’s general education in university.
