摘要： 民国时期国立大学数量的增长经历了缓慢成长期（1912-1921）、迅速扩张期（1922-1926）、发展与定型时期（1927-1936）、稳步增长期（1937-1949）四个阶段。国立大学的区域分布经历了严重失衡期（1912-1926）、稳定失衡期（1927-1936）、内迁扩散期（1937-1945）、复员均衡期（1946-1949）等四个阶段。

Abstract: During the period of Republic of China, the development of National University has experienced four periods——the period of slow growth (1912-1921), the period of the rapid expansion (1922-1926), the period of systematization (1927-1936), and the period of steady growth (1937-1949). Meanwhile, the regional distribution of the National University has experienced four stages——the stage of serious imbalance(1912-1926), the stage of relative unbalance(1927-1936), the stage of decentralized(1937-1945), the stage of relative balance(1946-1949).
